History of Blokart
The concept of the blokart was conceived by Paul Beckett, a New Zealand engineer and inventor, in the late 1990s. Beckett aimed to create a lightweight and portable land yacht that would be accessible to a wider audience and could be easily transported and assembled.
Why we endose Blokarts ?
The blokart's concept revolves around providing an accessible, exhilarating, and portable land sailing experience for people of all ages and abilities. Its unique selling proposition lies in several key aspects:
Accessibility: Its simple design and intuitive controls make it accessible to a wide range of enthusiasts, from children to seniors.
Portability: The blokart's lightweight and collapsible design allow for easy transport and storage.
Safety: With its stable three-wheel design and low center of gravity, the blokart offers a safe and stable ride even in challenging wind conditions.
Thrilling Performance: Despite its compact size, the blokart delivers exhilarating performance, capable of reaching impressive speeds powered solely by the wind.
Versatility: Blokarts can be customized and adapted to suit individual preferences and skill levels.
1 Design: This is its biggest concept and unique selling point.
The Blokart is a One Design product, this means:
1. All Blokart components and accessories are compatible with each other.
2. Official Blokart racing is restricted to Blokarts only, no other land yachts can compete, and this means a level playing field for all racers.
3. Only Blokart products can be used for racing so the outcome is a matter of pilot skill rather than product performance.
4. One Design Blokart racing is very affordable. The capped design, zero running cost and minimal maintenance means racers can operate on a small budget.
